The Color Field Ensemble is thrilled to announce their first annual call for scores from Wisconsin based composers. The winning composition will be performed by members of the Color Field Ensemble during the Fourth Annual Color Field Festival at the Frequency in Madison on September 7, 2013.

The Color Field Ensemble will be accepting works for soprano voice, saxophone, piano, or any combination thereof, excluding solo compositions. The duration of submitted works should be between 5-10 minutes. Single movements from larger works will be considered, as will compositions including electronics. Eligible composers must be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the state of Wisconsin. Submissions by Wisconsin citizens studying outside of the state will also be considered; they must, however, be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Scores should be submitted as a .pdf document to colorfieldensemble@gmail.com. The deadline for submission will be July 19, 2013. The winning piece will be announced on August 1.
